What's up with Brett's Thumb? I will never back a play where the QB might leave the game due to something that was common knowledge beforehand. I will never forget betting Marino on MNF only to have him rip his achilles (okay I could not have known) and watch Kosar flush my wager down the toilet. But I have saved myself some funds avoiding situations where a QB might take a fall.
As for the game itself, and as a Viking fan, I'm concerned that a) the Packers come off a bye, b) barring turnovers, the Packers should move the ball with Ahman Green and c) are the Vikings suffering a small mid-season slump (under Green, the Vikings would start hot, have a mid- to late-season swoon and then pick it up right before the playoffs).
But those are not enough to back the Packers. Favre struggles at the Met, the secondary was shredded by the Rams and I believe the Packers overall defense is soft. This should be a more pumped up Viking team at home on a Sunday night stage.
And the thumb...
